December 7, 2018 - The 2019 Sundance Film Festival unveiled its' feature film lineup, detailing the 112 films that screened in Park City, Utah, over the course of the event, which ran from Jan. 23 – Feb. 2, 2019. Among the standouts is Chelsea director Alex Gibney's latest doc feature The Inventor: Out for Blood In Silicon Valley, which made its' world premiere on the festival grounds.

With a magical new invention that promised to revolutionize blood testing, Elizabeth Holmes became the world’s youngest self-made billionaire, heralded as the next Steve Jobs. Then, overnight, her $10-billion-dollar company dissolved. The rise and fall of Theranos is a window into the psychology of fraud.

The film receieved rave reviews upon its' debut, selling out every screening throughout the fest.

The Inventor isn't the first of Alex's features to debut in Park City. His 2015 doc Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief premiered to critical acclaim at Sundance 2015 before airing on HBO, which the film followed up by taking home 3 Emmy Awards including Best Documentary.
